The Giga-tronics 8003 Precision Scalar Analyzer combines the 90 dB wide dynamic range of a scalar network analyzer with the accuracy and linearity of a dedicated power meter. Unlike conventional scalar analyzers that rely on logarithmic amplifiers, the 8003 utilizes switched linear gain stages providing over 100 dB of maximum gain. This architecture allows it to make extremely accurate single-sensor power measurements from -70 dBm to +20 dBm over a frequency range of 10 MHz to 40 GHz. It offers comprehensive source control, capable of driving sweepers from Giga-tronics, HP, Wiltron, and Marconi.
