The Keysight (formerly Agilent / HP / Cerjac) E4480A, also known as the 156MTS, is a portable SONET maintenance test set designed for field applications. The base unit provides STS-1 digital transmission testing with full receive and transmit capabilities, including DS3 payload drop and insert. It is highly configurable with optional interfaces for OC-1, OC-3, OC-12, as well as DS3, DS1, and E1 ports to support comprehensive SONET and T-carrier network maintenance.
