Fluke ScopeMeter 190 Series

Both models in this series share a robust physical architecture designed for portability and field survivability. Weighing 2.0 kg and measuring 256 mm by 169 mm by 64 mm, they operate in temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 50 °C. For visual clarity during diagnostic procedures, both instruments incorporate a 5.7-inch (144 mm) color active matrix TFT LCD with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels.

In terms of electrical safety and signal protection, the ScopeMeter instruments offer independent floating isolated inputs with ratings up to 1000 V CAT II / 600 V CAT III. This configuration provides isolation up to 1000 V between inputs, instruments, and ground. For input parameters, both units feature an input impedance of 1 MΩ ±1% parallel with 15 pF ±2 pF, vertical resolution of 8-bit, and a sensitivity range from 2 mV/div to 100 V/div.

While sharing physical dimensions and input safety ratings, the two models differ significantly in bandwidth, rise times, and signal acquisition rates:

• Fluke 196C: This model provides a 100 MHz bandwidth and a real-time sample rate of 1 GS/s per channel. It is suitable for general industrial applications, field servicing of standard machinery, and power electronics troubleshooting.
• Fluke 199C: Designed for higher-speed electronic systems, this model expands bandwidth to 200 MHz and features a rise time of 1.75 ns. It delivers a maximum real-time sampling rate of 2.5 GS/s on a single channel, or 1.25 GS/s when operating dual channels. Additionally, it features a defined record length of 3,000 points per channel in Scope mode and 27,500 points per channel in ScopeRecord mode, providing detailed capture of complex or fast-moving transients.
