Tektronix Modular Test Equipment

The Tektronix TLA7AA series comprises logic analyzer modules designed for TLA700 and TLA7000 series mainframes. These modules utilize Tektronix's MagniVu acquisition technology to deliver 125 ps (8 GHz) timing resolution on all channels. Selection primarily depends on the required channel density and form factor:

• Tektronix TLA7AA1: A 34-channel module (32 data, 2 clock/qualifier channels) supporting conventional timing speeds up to 2.0 GHz in half-channel mode and state acquisition speeds up to 800 MHz depending on the option.
• Tektronix TLA7AA2: A 68-channel module (64 data, 4 clock channels) that offers a 1.0 GHz full-channel or 2.0 GHz half-channel maximum timing sample rate. Its maximum state clock rate is option-dependent, scaling from 135 MHz up to 450 MHz.
• Tektronix TLA7AA3: A high-density 102-channel module (96 data, 6 clock/qualifier channels). Unlike the single-slot options, the TLA7AA3 is a double-wide module requiring two mainframe slots, offering up to 32 Mb of acquisition memory per channel.

For sampling oscilloscopes and digital serial analyzers, Tektronix offers dedicated modules to address high-frequency electrical signals and synchronization:

• Tektronix 80E01: This is a single-channel, 50 GHz electrical sampling module. It provides a rise time of 7.0 ps or less and features a maximum RMS noise of 450 μV. The module connects via a 2.4 mm female input connector and is compatible with host mainframes such as the DSA8300 and TDS8000 series.
• Tektronix 80A06: A single-slot PatternSync Trigger Module that acts as an accessory for sampling oscilloscopes. It accepts single-ended clock inputs from 150 MHz to 12.5 GHz and supports programmable pattern lengths up to 8,388,608 bits, adding less than 200 fs RMS typical jitter to the signal path.
