Programmable DC Power Supplies

Chroma's DC power supplies include standalone units and modular mainframe configurations. The Chroma 62012P-100-50 is a 2U half-rack programmable supply from the 62000P Series. It delivers 1200 W of maximum output power with a constant power operating envelope. This allows it to supply full power across combinations ranging from 100V/12A to 24V/50A.\n\nFor high-density industrial burn-in applications, the Chroma 62015B-150-10 is a modular DC supply designed for the 62000B series mainframe. It provides up to 1500 W with active power factor correction, N+1 redundancy, and hot-swappable replacement. It is controlled remotely via a CAN bus interface.

Programmable AC and AC/DC Power Sources

Chroma's single-phase AC sources span from general-purpose programmable AC supplies to advanced wave synthesis systems.\n\n- Standard AC Sources: The Chroma 61603 delivers clean AC power up to 1500 VA and DC power up to 750 W, with adjustable protection features (OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP).\n- Power Line Disturbance (PLD) Simulation: The Chroma 61502 and Chroma 61504 are engineered for PLD simulation and harmonic synthesis. The Chroma 61502 provides 1000 VA of AC power and 500 W of DC power. The Chroma 61504 increases this output capacity to 2000 VA of AC power and 1000 W of DC power.\n- High-Power Synthesis: The Chroma 6530 delivers up to 3000 VA of single-phase power, supporting arbitrary wave synthesis across a frequency range of 45 Hz to 1000 Hz.

Modular DC Electronic Loads

For testing multi-output AC/DC power supplies and DC-DC converters, Chroma provides modular DC electronic load configurations. The Chroma 6314 is a 4U, 4-slot mainframe within the 6310 series that can house up to four modules to support eight channels and a total power of 1200 W.\n\nCompatible load modules like the Chroma 63102A offer two isolated channels, each rating up to 100 W of input power, 80 V, and 20 A. This configuration is powered directly through the mainframe slots, allowing multi-channel power supply evaluation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the benefit of a constant power operating envelope?
A constant power operating envelope, such as that in the Chroma 62012P-100-50, allows a single power supply to output high voltage/low current or low voltage/high current up to its maximum wattage rating (1200 W), replacing the need for multiple fixed-range power supplies.
How are the modular components of Chroma electronic loads powered?
Modular load components, such as the Chroma 63102A module, do not require a separate power cord. They are powered directly through the slot interface of the mainframe, such as the Chroma 6314.
